Pulse

There’s a pulse in the middle of nowhere

And it calls to me

I can feel it come in ripples

Suddenly and calming

I can hear it far off in the distance

And I can feel its light

A strange yet familiar energy

Like I’ve known in other lives

But I can’t seem to see its face

And I’m brought back down to earth

Where I’m told to look in front of me

And everyone around me lives in this reality

Where we’re caught in this net instead of exploring the sea

Instead of soaring the most golden skies

We’ve clipped our own wings

How did we end up here to call our truths crazy only to be fed lies?

Adding sugar to the taste

But I still feel the pulses and I call back to them

A secret conversation

Anyone would condemn

But how do you explain a knowing

When there’s nothing concrete?

Call me the black sheep or odd one out

But I’ve met this angelic entity

Divinely protected silently out loud

Never alone in this lonely place

Claircognizance

I’d like to think it’s a mistake

But I think I’m just this way

Or am I being oversensitive?

Sometimes it gets too loud

Learning how not to doubt

Is this what I should call a gift?

Call it a blessing or a curse

It gets better after it gets worse

How it seems to get here first

Is this the life I’ve rehearsed?

Wish I could just turn it all off

And pretend like the joke was lost

And forget it all after midnight

I blind myself to your whole face

But I can’t seem to let it erase

Thanks for bringing me flowers

Across the fields to my name on a stone

You must’ve come a long way

To escape not to feel so alone

I know you miss me

I miss you more than you’ll know

Wishing I could’ve stayed

Or hear you laugh over the phone

Some things do last

Like our initials on the tree that’s grown

You can still climb it

And sit up tall like it’s your thrown

You can see the horizon

And watch as the dandelions are blown

Colors

Every color has a voice, a feeling

That sometimes make us think we’re dreaming

You can see, touch, and feel each vibration

With an endless amount of combinations

Each frequency of color sings its own song

Circling the universe every time it’s on

Breaking through all the blocks and tension

They move with grace and great suspension

So you think you’ve seen every color there is

Are you really ready for this plot twist?

We can only see about 0.0035 percent of the rainbow

But our energy goes where our energy flows

You see we each radiate our own unique tone

Energetically speaking it’s a signature we own

It changes as we do and speaks for us

It can’t lie, hide, or produce false trust

It’s the purest thing our souls can speak

Simultaneously providing the love we seek

So when you pick a favorite color you know

You’ve chosen a part of you that makes you glow

The New Normal

I used to think it was normal to feel over worked and tired

Fought through the sleepless nights with early plans to retire

I didn’t take a moment’s time to prioritize myself

When I was lost in tunnel vision for somebody else

But life has a funny way of knocking us off our feet

Not knowing at the time it was really meant to be

I’ve tried countless times denying the all the signs

Only to be knocked off again until I saw the stars have realigned

Normal doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the way to live

Despite all the criticisms it’s ourselves we must forgive

Cause once I’ve released all desires to fit inside a mold

It’s really the ones who break away who turn copper into gold

Please don’t get discouraged if things seem to take its time

Keep doing what makes you happy and know all timing’s divine

Kaleidoscope

A prism of stars aligned

Never seemed so confusing

Boundaries rearrange

A truth imbedded with lies

Hope is a siren

Setting off alarms

It’s like we came into this knowing

What we should’ve been

Yet had to let it all sink in

Can you feel the flames?

Can you prove that timing here is not up for debate?

LIFE

I can’t get away from you

Even if I tried

I see you in every color of the moonlight

Don’t be so surprised

I noticed

And in these waking dreams

That get so tangled with these fantasies

Dare to live that dream so bold

Those doubts or fears that petrified us

Were just a breath away

But in my core remained

I try so hard to understand

Sometimes I try too hard and

I reach too far and miss

That’s got my stomach tied up in knots

Life’s got a language
We all can speak
